How do I Finalize & Issue the corrections letter?
Quick answer: Once you've triaged every finding (and, if you rounded through Bluebeam, imported markups back), click the green Finalize & Issue button top-right. CrossBeam produces the final letter — typically an HTML (print-to-PDF) and a DOCX — using your triage decisions as the source of truth. The version bumps each time you click it.
Status: This page is a draft. The exact post-click modal (confirmation, delivery options, who gets notified) has not been fully re-clicked on the live reviewer UI at the time of writing. Copy will be tightened after the next pass.
Before you click
Run through this checklist:
- Every Fail is accepted, modified, or rejected (not pending).
- Every Flag result has a saved decision or has been left pending intentionally.
- The progress ring at the top of the Findings toolbar is full.
- If relevant, reviewer markups have been imported from Bluebeam. See Bluebeam round-trip.
- You've read through the draft Corrections Letter tab once end-to-end.
Steps
- Click Finalize & Issue (green, top-right).
- The button shows a loading state while the letter generates.
- When it lands, you'll get download / preview options — typically an HTML version (print-to-PDF) and a downloadable DOCX.
- Save the files to your records system, and (depending on your department's workflow) send the letter to the applicant.
Versioning
Each Finalize click bumps the version — v1, v2, v3. If you modify findings after issuing v1 and re-Finalize, you get v2 while v1 remains accessible.
What goes into the letter
- Accepted findings go in as-is.
- Modified findings go in with your text.
- Rejected findings drop out.
- Skipped and pending findings are not included.
- The category organization and code citations carry through from the draft.
