What is a job site, and how do I create one?
Quick answer: A job site is a folder for one property. Every pre-check and corrections analysis with an address files itself into its property's job site automatically, so you usually don't need to create one. To set one up first, open the Job Sites tab on your dashboard, click the round + button, pick New Job Site, choose the address, and click Create job site.
Create a job site
-
Go to your dashboard and click Job Sites at the top left.
-
Click the round + button in the middle of the page and pick New Job Site. (If you have no sites yet, the empty page also offers Run Pre-Check.)

-
In Site address, start typing the property address and pick the match. CrossBeam looks up the parcel and shows its APN.
-
Optionally type a Site name, such as "Rivera kitchen + ADU". It defaults to the address.
-
Click Create job site. The site's page opens.
What's on a job site's page
Open a site by clicking its card on the Job Sites tab. The page shows the name, address, APN, and an Active or Expired badge, with these tabs:
- Timeline — every run on the property, oldest first: pre-checks, re-check rounds (marked Round 2, Round 3, …), and corrections analyses. Click a run to open its results.
- Site Facts — zoning, setbacks, hazards, and a map for the parcel. See See the zoning and hazards for a property.
- Documents — every file for the property, including plans uploaded with each run. See Start a pre-check from documents on a job site.

Start a run from the site
Click the round + on the tab line:
- New Pre-Check round — runs your revised plans as the next round of the site's latest pre-check, or starts a first pre-check if there isn't one you own. See Re-check revised plans.
- Corrections letter — starts a Corrections Response with the address filled in. See Analyze a corrections letter.
- Upload documents — opens the Documents tab.
Find a site
Use Search by address, permit number, or APN… above the site cards. Back to HQ on a site page returns to the dashboard.
