How does the free trial work?
Quick answer: Every new account gets one free pre-check of any permit type through /start — no credit card, no credits. After that, you either pay credits or submit through a partner city (which is always free for builders).
What's included
- One pre-check per email address.
- Any permit type. Even an SFR or multi-unit pre-check is free on the trial, which would otherwise cost 4 or 20 credits.
- Same quality. The free review is the same AI that runs on paid reviews. Nothing is held back.
What's not included
- Corrections analysis. The free trial is pre-check only. Corrections analysis uses credits per the normal pricing.
- Multiple accounts. One free review per email. If you create a second account on a different email, you get another free review, but per our terms you shouldn't be gaming this.
If you've already used it
You'll see a "Credits Required" message when you try to run a review from /start. Options:
- Buy credits at Credits — see Buy credits.
- Submit through a partner city — still free for builders.
- Run simple-permit reviews (EV, solar, reroof, panel, water heater) — always free.
