How do credits work?
Quick answer: Credits are the internal unit for AI reviews. 1 credit = $25. A simple review costs 1 credit ($25), an ADU costs 4 credits ($100), residential reviews cost 10 credits ($250), and multi-unit or commercial reviews cost 40 credits ($1,000).
The basics
- The review page quotes the dollar price and sends you to Stripe Checkout.
- Each review type has a fixed credit cost (below).
- Credits never expire.
- Partner-city submissions don't cost you credits — the city pays. See Submit through a partner city.
- A new organization gets 50% off its first eligible review. See First-review discount.

Holds and refunds
When you start a review, CrossBeam places a hold for the credit cost. If the review fails on our side, the hold is released and you don't pay. You'll see these entries in your Transaction history as "hold" and "refund" rows.
