How do I retry a failed pre-check?
Quick answer: Open the project from your dashboard. If the status is Failed or Cancelled, a Retry button shows up. Click it. If you're eligible for a free re-run, it won't re-charge credits.
Steps
- Go to Projects.
- Click the project with a red Failed or gray Cancelled badge.
- On the results page, click Retry.
- The status goes back to processing. Wait 15–30 minutes.
Does retrying cost credits?
Usually no. If a pre-check fails on our side, the retry comes free. The Retry button will show "Try again — First one's free" when that's the case.
If the retry button says otherwise (e.g., you're out of credits and the free retry has already been used), you'll be sent to Credits to top up before the re-run.
When retrying won't help
- Bad file. If the original upload was corrupted or unreadable, retrying with the same file will fail again. Re-upload a fresh export.
- Missing sheets. If the review said "can't find site plan," retrying with the same PDF won't invent one. Fix the plan set and start a new project.
- Partner city portal. City submissions are re-runnable too — same button, same logic.
